This course is designed for practicing Critical Care physicians interested in advancing their skills in diagnosis of brain death. Attendance is limited to 20 participants to allow the maximum benefit of small groups in hands-on sessions. The goal of this workshop is to provide the attendees with a comprehensive experience that will enhance confidence with the most contemporary approach to brain death diagnosis and management. Brain death diagnosis and management requires a unique blend of up-to-date knowledge, technical skills, and interpersonal skills to both assure accurate diagnosis and optimize family coping.

1. Advance Critical Care physicians' skills for diagnosing brain death.
2. Provide attendees a comprehensive experience to increase confidence with the most contemporary approach to brain death diagnosis and management.
3. Build confidence in delivering a grave prognosis.

 Henry Ford Health is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
