Overview

The purpose of this program is to enhance providers’ understanding of the types and characteristics of tobacco cessation medications, as well as the conditions under which these should be prescribed and combined with counseling. Providers will also learn to evaluate considerations for using medications with pregnant and breastfeeding patients. This is the second in a series of CME modules dedicated to enhancing provider support for treating tobacco dependence in the clinical setting, particularly among patients eligible for lung cancer screening.
