What does it really take to bring multiple labs together into a single, high-performing system? This panel discussion pulls back the curtain on the real-world work behind unifying laboratory services across institutions. Panelists will share how they’re rethinking governance, streamlining IT systems, and standardizing quality and operational workflows—while still meeting the needs of individual sites. From navigating LIS transitions to sharing staffing models and performance metrics, you'll get a practical look at how teams are working together to deliver safe, efficient, and consistent care across the enterprise. In addition, there will be a discussion on how clinical laboratories support the Population Health mission of organizations.

Ever wonder why your lab order didn’t go as planned—or what could’ve made it smoother? In this interactive session, faculty will highlight common mistakes, misunderstandings, and bottlenecks they see when clinicians and care teams work with the lab. From specimen handling and communication gaps to test selection and turnaround expectations, we’ll unpack the small things that can cause big delays—or impact patient care.  Attendees are encouraged to bring their own questions, and we’ll troubleshoot common issues and share simple, practical solutions that can make working with the lab easier, faster, and more effective for everyone.
