Overview
Live in the D is a course in advanced therapeutic endoscopy that combines multidisciplinary lectures and debates on the management of complex disease processes as well as live endoscopy cases, with moderated discussions of the cases and debate topics. Topics will include management of pancreatic diseases, including pancreatitis and necrosis, cysts, and chronic pancreatitis, updates in the field of endohepatology, advances in the management of cholecystitis and biliary obstruction, management of large and complex polyps, management of difficult lumenal strictures, EUS and ERCP approaches to cancer therapy, endobariatrics, and management of GI motility disorders.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Improve their understanding of the management of acute pancreatitis and its complications, particularly walled off pancreatic necrosis.
  2. Become familiar with the latest advances in the diagnosis and management of pancreatic cysts.
  3. Better understand how to care for the patient with chronic pancreatitis.
  4. Understand the latest in endoscopic approaches to diagnosis and management of chronic liver disease and gastric varices.
  5. Familiarize themselves with the different endoscopic options for drainage of the gallbladder and biliary tree and have an understanding of how to choose between those options versus surgical or interventional radiology approaches.
  6. Identify those Gi tract polyps that may be managed endoscopically vs surgically and expand their understanding of the different endoscopic approaches to managing large polyps.
  7. Identify the latest approaches to management of luminal strictures.
  8. Understand the latest in endoscopic ablation of cancers of the pancreatobiliary tree.
  9. Understand the latest in bariatric endoscopic care.
  10. Describe the different novel endoscopic approaches to GI motility disorders and where they fit compared to prior conventional endoscopic therapy and surgery.
