This year’s agenda offers in-depth presentations and interactive discussions on Intestinal Failure, Intestinal Rehabilitation, Intestinal Transplant, Organ Transplant Nutrition, Critical Care Nutrition, Dietary role in the management of Irritable bowel syndrome, Malnutrition with incretin-based therapies, Modern Hypertension Management and Integrating Pharmacology, Diet and Patient Behaviors. Participants will gain new strategies to address specialized nutrition concerns, optimize interdisciplinary care, and navigate rapidly evolving clinical guidelines.

1. Describe definitions, classifications and pathophysiology of intestinal failure
2. Summarize the clinical manifestations, complications and treatments (nutrition, dietary, medical and surgical) for short bowel syndrome and intestinal failure
3. Emphasize the importance of multidisciplinary care teams in the treatment of patients with intestinal failure and describe the various components of a successful intestinal rehabilitation program
4. Explain how pre- and post-transplant nutrition affects graft survival, immune function and recovery
5. List specific nutritional considerations and interventions during pre-transplant, immediate post-operative and long-term post-transplant phases
6. Illustrate common nutrition-related transplant complication such as malnutrition, weight fluctuations and foodborne illness risks and explain effective measures to prevent or manage them
7. Describe major study findings on ICU nutrition published since the most recent ASPEN guidelines
8. Identify best practices for initiating enteral and parenteral nutrition in critically ill adults
9. Identify patient-specific conditions which may affect the nutrition support regimen for critically ill adults
10. Discuss the role of diet in the management of irritable bowel syndrome
11. Describe the growing trend of incretin-based therapies including GLP-1 and GIP medications
12. Review the use and the advantages and disadvantages of incretin-based therapies
13. Identify the risks of incretin-based therapies without medical guidance
14. Examine the prevalence of malnutrition and the difficulty in identifying malnutrition in patients using incretin-based therapies
15. Discuss the role of the practitioner in addressing malnutrition and managing patients on incretin-based therapies
16. Describe the history of management of hypertension
17. Describe emerging pharmacologic agents for hypertension
18. Evaluate emerging holistic treatments for hypertension
19. Summarize current evidence for dietary strategies in the management of hypertension
20. Apply practical patient-centered and interdisciplinary care approaches to support long-term blood pressure control
