Chest Tube Insertion and Management Course (2024)

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (3.50 hours), AMA PRA Non-Physician Attendance (3.50 hours)

There is a video to watch prior to the course which is 30 minutes in length to prepare. During the live activity there will be lectures on chest tubes, lung ultrasounds, and chest tube management and insertion. Following lectures, there will be a live skills workshop with hands-on teaching of insertion of chest tubes, ultrasound, and management.

1. Obtain knowledge to identify patients who are in need of chest tube insertion
2. Obtain ultrasound skills to assess patient for insertion and guide procedure
3. Learn to insert chest tube
4. Be able to manage patient post-procedurally and assess

Henry Ford Health is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

 

DESIGNATION STATEMENT:

Henry Ford Health designates this live course for a maximum of 3.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) TM. Physicians should only claim the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
