Overview

The 9th Annual Gastroenterology and Hepatology Symposium will showcase expert and high yield, up to date content from the fields of inflammatory bowel disease, hepatology, gastrointestinal motility and advanced endoscopy.


Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Describe evidence-based diagnostic and management strategies for Metabolic Dysfunction–Associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MASLD).
  2. Differentiate benign liver lesions and outline appropriate management strategies.
  3. Summarize emerging technologies and innovations in liver transplantation and their clinical implications.
  4. Apply a structured diagnostic and management approach to patients presenting with bloating and belching.
  5. Review updated colon cancer screening guidelines and their application in clinical practice.
  6. Implement evidence-based management strategies for acute pancreatitis in the inpatient setting.
  7. Explain the role and indications for endoscopic interventions in gastrointestinal oncology.
  8. Describe endoscopic approaches to the management of foregut strictures.
  9. Describe endoscopic approaches to the management of foregut strictures.
  10. Discuss current management strategies for Clostridioides difficile infection, including the role of fecal microbiota transplantation.
  11. Describe the clinical applications and emerging role of intestinal ultrasound.
  12. Optimize pharmacologic management strategies in inflammatory bowel disease.
