Overview

This is an interdisciplinary conference involving Infectious Diseases, Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant, Kidney Transplant and Liver Transplant. The meeting will provide an update on Transplant Infectious Diseases and highlight the impact on infections of new modalities used for the management of cancer and transplantation.


Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Describe the impact of newer cancer and organ transplant therapies on the risk for opportunistic infections
  2. Identify evidence-based strategies to diagnose, treat, and prevent opportunistic infections in high-risk cancer and transplant patients
  3. Apply evidence-based approaches discussed in the activity to clinical scenarios involving immunocompromised patients
